Our passion at FinancialModel.net is to model the underlying dynamics of our clients' business as quickly and accurately as possible. Our approach to each project is built around that objective and takes into account the circumstances of each individual situation.

Every financial model is different and we focus on your specific needs and challenges. We ask questions, dig into issues and listen to your responses. We listen first, then propose an appropriate modeling approach.

We have developed a methodology which provides a basic framework for ensuring our clients are satisfied with the model development process and outcome.

Six steps to a custom financial model!
1
Retention: We will provide you with an initial phone consultation. After this step, we require a deposit of 50% of the plan fee to initiate work on the model. At this stage, we will send you a client welcoming kit that will provide us with information on you and a foundation for the project that we are modeling. We also ask that you provide us with all assumptions, industry data, models and other metrics so we can study them prior to the interview phase.
2
Interview: We conduct an exploratory interview which proceeds through a series of questions designed to uncover information on specific, critical aspects of the project we are modeling. We want to discover your objectives, challenges and market features.
3
Strategy & Tactics: After our initial interview, we may suggest a follow up to discuss strategy and tactics. This discussion will center around choices such as: Are we trying to improve sales? Cut expenses? Increase margins?
4
Set Milestones: From our interview, we will define a set of milestones and deadlines for the project to be completed. The deadlines instill a sense of urgency which generates motivation and focus for both parties.
5
Model Creation: When all the information has been provided, our modeling experts craft the financial forecasts. Finally, the project manager checks the model for accuracy and robustness. The financial model is emailed to you in Microsoft Excel format.
6
Revisions: We go back and forth until the model is complete. We give you unlimited revisions to the model for up to 3 weeks. Extensions can be made on a case by case basis. We've found that 3 weeks is plenty of time for entrepreneurs who are serious about implementing their plan.
