FinancialModel.net
Guiding Principles
We build financial models
that support raising capital and valuing businesses. Above
all, we ensure that the models we develop are easily understood,
accurate, and reliable.
Financial modeling, when done correctly, should be readily
understood by all. We deliver a transparent model with a
clear, crisp structure. Our models are guided by the following
principles:
- Relevant: the model must capture the fundamental
dynamics of the business, and must be delivered on time
to facilitate decision making processes
- Reliable: the model must have internal checks built
in to facilitate rapid auditing; inputs should be in different
font colors than outputs, the model should be driven from
an assumption page with sources clearly documented
- Robust: the model must not be overly complex; each
component should be built in a modular style, making it
expandable; also, there must be visible checks
- Readily understood: above all, the model must be
easily understood by the client and the client’s target
